Colorado Channel
Authority Board
The Colorado Channel Authority Board manages the Colorado Channel.
THE BOARD CONSISTS OF 9 MEMBERS AS FOLLOWS:
- 3 members appointed by the Governor with the consent of the Senate, at least one of whom is a registered, unaffiliated voter in the state, and at least one of whom has experience in the business operations of broadcast journalism;
- 1 member appointed by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court;
- 1 member appointed by the Speaker of the House, who must be currently serving in the House of Representatives;
- 1 member appointed by the President of the Senate, who must be currently serving in the Senate;
- 1 member appointed by the Senate Minority Leader, who must be currently serving in the Senate;
- 1 member jointly appointed by the President of the Senate and the Speaker of the House who has experience in the operation of a business and/or fundraising for a nonprofit organization.

- Not subject to administrative direction by the state
- Not legally obligated to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to select contractors
